Just been looking through the Leeds squads and found that our goalkeeper ranks are filled with serious Young talent. Most fans know that Meslier is 22 and Klaesson is 21 but we also Elia Caprile who 21 and just finished 39 game season on loan in Italy serie C. Behind them we have Dani Van den Heuvel who is 19, Harry Christy who is 18, Darryl Ombang who is 16. Now with all this talent we only have Marcos Abad as their coach. He is only 36 years old and has been coaching goal keepers since 2009. Leeds basically have more game time experience in all our young keepers combined then what their coach has.
Surely we needs some experience to advise our boys. Maybe a experienced back up or even just a person like Mark Schwarzer in as a consultant for the players to talk to. Think we need something as the talent is there...
Are we stocking up Goalkeepers?
We have Iceman at 22, KK at 20, Christy at 19, Obeng at 18 and now Mahady at 16.
Not to mention Robles at 32+. And the guy who had a serious car accident.
Maybe Meslier will stay with us for a couple of years then the line of succession will be revealed.
