Well lads that was some long weekend (off since last wednesday)
I watched with a good buddy of mine in his house with his young fella and at 2 down it looked it was all over, relegation and back into the wilderness of the championship.
We looked at each and without saying it all 3 of us thought thats it game done another s*itty weekend ahead.
Then Meslier incident, personally i didnt think it was a yellow card, like if that was bamford contesting for a ball and he got booked for it we would livid, but this "endangering an opponent" is a load of codswallop. The striker has every entitlement to challenge for the ball in that scenario. However the tackle on Dallas was truly shocking for me thats a straight red and the ref/var didnt even think it was yellow, so no doubt in my mind wolves deserved to be down to 10men.
But to score the three goals well that was fairytale stuff, i thought Greenwood was excellent as was Cresswell and KK all three young fellas but seemed to slot in very easily. One thing i didnt like and havent seen anything about llorentte "back injury"??? for me and i said it last friday night it looked like we were going to get stuffed so he hobbled off, hope im wrong but it looked like he wasnt up for the fight.
Brentwood losing yesterday really put the icing on top of our 3 points and the gap to them is just a single point with both of having 8 games left.
With all of our injuries / covid issues who many LUFC players are actually now with their respective international teams? cant be many??
My wife & daughter have said I'm certifiable, they're not wrong.
We started brightly enough, but then at the back & in midfield we started to dwell on the ball and frankly just played ourselves in trouble.
Many culprits in losing the ball (Llorente did time & again), people losing their man, not tracking runners. Players that had been involved a lot, completely drifted out of the game. The injuries completed the mess.
2 down at HT and it felt like the best we could achieve would be to keep the score respectable.
But boy did we...
Hat off to all the lads, so gutsy & brave, determination and mental strength.
Harrison, who I felt in the first half was hardly seen, became unplayable at times.
Forshaw (already our best player in the first half) ran himself in the ground, defended & attacked. Can't wait to have Philips with him in midfield.
Rodrigo another goal and played some beautiful balls in. Starting to pay back chunks of that fee. Ayling for a fullback → some of his attacking were awesome.
Dallas what a guy, even when he obviously struggled to run gave his all and then some. To many heroes to mention them all.
Greenwood without catching the eye, still put himself about and let the opponents know he was around😉, liked that → they certainly didn't.
Joffy is more ready for the premiership (different type too), but suppose he carried a knock.
Then on to our goallies, a couple of vital saves from Meslier to keep the score down, hope his injury isn't too bad.
On to Mister Klaesson, I honestly feared for the worst, but boy did he perform.
Those saves alone warranted his transferfee & wages for years to come.
Whoever said he was a flycatcher couldn't be more wrong!🙄
Finally, our fans were as per usual FANTASTIC!!!
As for the Wolves's fans, must feel like Karma's a bxtch...
Yes, once again we are not at the races but FFS, how many teams have had to endure the constant injury nightmare that's not going away. The team is unsettled but that's due primarily to the fact that personnel keep changing because they are dropping like flies!!!.
I know there’s been injuries, I know that things have been hard, but.... this is dreadful, schoolboy stuff. Can’t pass, can’t mark, can’t even pay attention when a free kick is being taken. Relegation performance I’m afraid.
I can't disagree. There's no point having the debate about whether it would have been any different under Bielsa, but I know we'll have to go through that one soon enough.
Really disappointed for Paddy - that's nobody's fault. We needed Rapha, again tough luck. Disappointed in Llorente, he's been a waste of space tonight. Struijk looks lost again, Ayling is off tripping about and Dallas is not playing well either. To be fair this Wolves team are really good.
Now in that horrible zone of whether to turn it to silent in the background and do something else or face this up for another miserable 45 mins.
You're certainly correct about vicious and unfounded rumours Lord Sunnytits.... we used to have a self titled "weatherman" on here who thought he was the dogs bollox, by simply looking out of the window of his outside toilet and "predicting" the fkn weather!!
I would bet on that being the team too, maybe Koch will get a go from the bench depending on Llorente's fitness.
If Phillips is fit and plays as per the England setup that's all good for me - I think he absolutely tore it up in a central 2.
In the mean time he may need an introduction from the bench tonight - just to ease him back in.
I'm really looking forward to this one. I know we're under pressure but I don't see this game as a do or die game like Norwich - I want to see us play the better football and get something from the game - sort of Leicester but with an end product.
So listening to JM's pre match press conference yesterday, it seems that Phillips will be playing a role similiar to that of England when he partners Rice in midfield, so taking that into consideration, my team selection for tonight, with my subs, is detailed below. I believe the formation will be 4-2-3-1:
wolverhampton wanderers the bstaed son of st lukes school and a local cricket club founded in 18three time 89 are founders of the football league have won the league 3 times and the fa cup 4 times and the league cup twice
the city of wolverhampton takes its name from a mercian lord named wolfhere
and mean wolfies town next the farm
it was the site of the battle of tetenhall won by the son of alfread the great son edward and featured in the last kinkdom tv series talking of battles we are in one stats to follow
Well the covid has finally got me so there will be no weather report as I can't be bothered because I won't be there.
I think we might win this match. I hope Bamford runs Coady ragged . I don't like Coady which is a shame because with him being scouse he will probably get a job in the media when he retires. Imagine him and carragher together 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Sorry mouseman congrats but if you're not careful you'll have piles on your @r$e sitting in the MDT chair before the Saints game🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well done Steve!!!
What a night!!
Turned off at 2-0 down much to me boys upset, then from his phone find out Raul is sent off then we score 2 so turned back on.
Windows were open so think neighbour's thought someone was killed when Lucas scored, Me, my boy and the two dogs went wild!!!!! GET IN!!!
Be a hero Steve, My Friend. Wins v Saints and Watford can make you a legend like Ice Ice Baby!!
Reflection this morning - and of course life is all about how you look at things...
In order to win that game, Leeds Utd had just 35 minutes to score 3 unanswered goals: away from home against one of the best defences in Europe.
They not only did so, but did so without the following players on the pitch for any of that 35 minutes:
Meslier
Shackleton
Llorente
Cooper
Firpo
Phillips
Klich
Raphinha
Roberts
Gelhardt
Bamford
That, my friends, is truly remarkable.
Keep it going Mousseman! Congrats mate.
What a game of football, what a team.
From total despair to utter elation.

LEEDS ARE FAILLING APART AGAIN!!!
MOT
GET FOOKIN IN!!💥🥊 What a performance in the second half!!
We are a team of battlers not bottlers.
🎵Luke Ayling is fookin brilliant🎵
I fooookin‘ love this club💛💙
Congratulations Steve, now take us all the way to mathematical safety bro👍
Well done Mouseman!! 👏👏👏👏
I've completely changed my mind on Forshaw and he'll be quality with Kalvin in midfield....
We never do anything easy and why the Leeds rollercoaster goes marching on....
Against all the odds, voodoo dolls. black cats and anything else that could go wrong, we came through. GET IN!!!!!!!! MOT
What a lady, what a night!
Anybody who says Aylings not a premiership player, I'll biff them.
Special word of commendation for Klaesson who wore the gloves with pride.
What a lady, What a night.
Well I take full credit
Never in doubt 😎
CCAAANNN WWWEEEE!?!?!?
Oh my dicky ticker
CAN WE?????
Well, you cancel international duty for Raphinha, Klich, Llorente and Meslier now! Can we finish with. 11 fit players though?
Can we???
if someone told the story of these injuries you wouldn’t believe it!
This is just incredible.
Don't know when if or when our luck is gonna change.
Perhaps we'll need another priest to break that gipsy spell.

What a shambles we are
I know there’s been injuries, I know that things have been hard, but.... this is dreadful, schoolboy stuff. Can’t pass, can’t mark, can’t even pay attention when a free kick is being taken. Relegation performance I’m afraid.
and there's 2. Another match evening ruined.
Fair play Steve - at least you got one win before the inevitable.
Klich now crocked - hope to goodness he can get past half time - otherwise we have all 3 subs on with 45 to play.
Been very much Villa rather than Leicester or Norwich so far.
Wolves have been very good, no dispute, deserve to be top 6.
No point watching anymore, we know how this goes, we press for a goal and get suckered punched 2 or 3 more
I cursed Llorente - so far he's been a yard off every ball and every pass.
Bamford crocked, Raphinha sick. 1 Down with the world's worst record for getting points after conceding first.
Now Llorente doesn't fancy it any more - wants to come off for Koch.... 😒
Nope - it's about right. 😡
Picked the wrong beer for tonight I think
besides we need to practice without him pool or psg bound
Ralph out Covid
It's true,raphina missing,
You're certainly correct about vicious and unfounded rumours Lord Sunnytits.... we used to have a self titled "weatherman" on here who thought he was the dogs bollox, by simply looking out of the window of his outside toilet and "predicting" the fkn weather!!
Unbefuckinglievable....
Good luck mate
Rafa, Meslier and a few others too rumoured. Hope it is just BS
Quality MDT Mouseman and good luck for a prolonged run....
I'm going for a positive 1-0 victory with Raphinha back on fire....
I would bet on that being the team too, maybe Koch will get a go from the bench depending on Llorente's fitness.

Leeds have won 35 drawn 23
so not bad

Hah! That's very different for a MDT!!
So far I've managed Eric Idle, Suzi Perry, Clint Mansell, Kevin Rowland, Edward Elgar, Beverley Knight and Robert Plant......
name the famous wolves fans
