This weekend leeds welcome the top of the league and champions in waiting to ER
a must win game imo or at least a draw famous city fans include part of oasis Johnny marr Andrew Flintof Ricky Hatton
founded as st marks in 1880 they had a bit of luck when some rich Arabs helped a dodgy politicians launder his money how that was passed I don’t know since then it’s been upwards and onward
Oh well lads sorry I take full responsibility
so who wants Newcastle
Haaland is ranked only 18th in the Prem for assists with only 3 all season....
We don't need the one trick pony who obviously doesn't bring his teammates into play.... fkn hog
Haaland didn't celebrate his goals you note - he's LEEDS
That’s a rap. Well done Kalvin. At least we never gave up. Think Gnonto’s football boots were the star attraction of the night.
Gelhardt is another who was more purposeful in 20 mins than Rodrigo who he replaced. I would now be looking to build the team around Meslier, Struijk, Adams, Greenwood, Aaranson, Gnonto, Gelhardt and Summerville.
and I know everybody hates Ayling for some reason, but today he's done more for us in 5 mins than Rasmussen all game.
Pascal.....
Can we just stop now?
Ouch, terrible defending by Leeds. To his credit, Grealish blindsided our CBs, and great finish by Haaland.
This has been a nothing performance by us today. The change to 433 just hasn’t worked and has left us short of attacking options. Roca and Forshaw have contributed very little in the middle. Need to get Summerville on.
Oh dear!
That, on the other hand, was absolute SH*&^
Can't defend Cooper and Koch for that shambles
That was coming. Perfect play from Man C.
They’re all over us.
Not long now it’s the waiting that gets to me
Merry Christmas .2-1 Leeds win
our supporter will sing Haaland you are Leeds and you know it
2-1 to us
Score predictions?
Not long now peoples
KDeB was back to his best last night (sadly).
its a damp miserable day here in the west of Ireland and for all my optimism a fortnight ago thats well and truely gone.
Damage limitations i feel and "if" we can keep the score down then at the end of the year a good goal difference is almost worth another point (think back to last season and the minus GD that was beside us)
Bull's revised scoreline
2-0 defeat :(
I still hope he has a "niggle" and doesn't play against us.....
after last nights horror show defending Alfie could score 6.
(before halftime)
Heard an interview with him sometime back and he said his ultimate goal in a match would be score with every shot / attempt at goal he takes. If we "defend" against city the way we did against Monaco then Haaland's dream could become a reality

Just hope Haaland doesn't rub it in by celebrating his hat trick goal against us.... be interesting to see if he does celebrate WHEN he scores against us!
Will our fans cheer him!?
Will our fans cheer him if he scores!?
Will our fans cheer Kalvin!?
Sorry - posted on wrong thread
Unfortunately I think Ayling, Forshaw and Klich will start v Citeh instead of Rasmussen, Greenwood and Gnonto.... love the old guard but unfortunately they've had their time as REGULAR starters.
Robles (assuming Iceman is not available)
Rasmus, Koch, Cooper, Struik
Greenwood, Rojo
Arronsen, Harrison, Gnonto
Rodrigo
Subs: KK, Ayling, Firpo, Llorente, Forshaw, Klitch, Joffy, Joseph, Perkins
Not long now come on name your preferred starting line up
Live on Amazon Prime!!!
Can watch in the warmth with no queues for the toilet or beer!!!
Who gets Tyler's place?
Forshaw, Greenwood or Gyabi?
That's absolutely quality Mouseman and didn't think your posts could get any more minimal than a couple of words.... to just bring up an old MDT without having to pen ANY words is sheer genius 👏
I asked if I could do that once and was instantly rebuffed.... nobody obviously has the power of a mouse.
I've only ever predicted us to lose once and that was a piistake of losing to Fulham by 8 to see if that helped.... it obviously didn't as we fkn lost that!
I suppose if ever there's a time to play Citeh it's now when they're not up to speed so I'm going for a positive 1-0 victory with Summerville scoring with his big protective leg boot....
We're going to be without Sinesterra, Adams, Hattrick, Summerville and maybe Meslier and is going to be a long old night with our crap defence and Forshaw and Roca trying to stop De Bruyne and Foden! 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Obviously, we'd take a draw now and just hope we attack like we did v Liverpool and not put everyone behind the ball....
Yep - the important stuff commences after Xmas.
Shot to nothing for me - I reckon there could be some stale legs in their team which gives us a chance - we'll sneak a surprise draw 2-2
Time to get back to the day job
Not long and with the yanks back hope they don’t go on a bender and get in match fit
3 decent Friendlies before this game. Elche, Sociedad and Monaco at ER
Steve - you need to change the title to: MDT Leeds v Man City - Can I push it
This makes it easier for people to find it!
Who do I want to win England without KP or USA with Adams?
LUFC over England all the time!!!
Well done Steve
It’s the first game after the World Cup i believe
Soopa, imo the loss of Cooper is even worse, but it’s a close call. I share your doubts/fears very much - having missed the core of our team (Cooper-Phillips-Bamford) for most of the season has put us where we are. Anyway; let’s surprise the bookies, get Gelhardt in the team, and let’s win some football games. MOT
Hi Danish, Brighton are on a run now and Brentford away isn't exactly a good hunting ground for us. Both equally difficult. On paper at Arsenal (we never seem to get anything there, this dispite some good performances, perhaps we're due some luck???
Chelsea will hopefully have their mind on the Cup FInal.
Still, even their second string can cause us all sorts of problems.
For the next games, I would very much like us to start with Gelhardt upfront, at least he can lead the line a bit. Even if I feel he's better suited to be the second striker.
Rest of the picks itself now, with Coops (doubtfull), Dallas, Forshaw, Bamford (?) all out.
Are we now gonna prepare for the Brighton and Brentford games? So far, this season we have not had a single point against the traditional so-called top6, so not expecting much from the two upcoming matches (Chelsea and Arsenal). Get Joffy upfront, for James, and maybe Greenwood for Rodrigo who has not really kept the level from his 3-4 good performances a few weeks back.
After thinking on the match i have to say that if we goinging to move forward then the formation needs to revert back to football tried and trusted 4-4-2 as that is what our squad is designed for. Playing 2 uo top give us someone in the box to finish off moves (we had 3 clear cut chances with not striker there).
Why did James still play centrally today? Perfect chance to ha e out wide on the wing.
Bad news regarding Stuart. Probably done his ACL.
In terms of injuries this season must be the worst ever.
you've done a great job for us Mouseman. But clearly you had no plan B and the same old MDT style was going to get sussed out sooner or later. Time for a change, we'll think about naming a burger van after you in the closed season.
Losing Cooper in the warm-up was a major set back, the line-up itself was something of a surprise to me.
Worried for Dallas, that injury looks like his season is over.
All in all, outclassed but we tried our best, but it was never gonna be good enough. How many from our side would get in their team/squad.
Other than Rapha & Philips?
You had a very good run Steve.
Oh well
Negative moment in thought.... Ayling with 5 ball give aways in 1 half of football. Oh, not sure but may have been his man who scored....
Why can we not just play a simply 4-4-2 or 4-5-1.
nice one mouseman
will be settling in behind the sofa tonight the beers and crisps are already back there so its only formalities now.
thought a draw at Palace would have been a decent result on Monday, this time i think if we get a point on Saturday it will be a huge point.
Heart says 1-1
Head says 0-2 them (sadly)
Its going to be very interesting to see how JM sets up his team as this City can expose nearly every system they have faced all season so a massive task ahead. In games such as these (as massive favourite against an underdog) the under dog must maintain concentration levels and cant afford to let the mind wander for a second, plus the under dog must try and play the game at their pace / tempo. We need smart play, proper passing, take the easy pass instead of trying a "flick" or round the corner, and we certainly cant afford to be faffing about at the back, we cant invite City into our final third they need to earn that space.
Mouseman the Magnificent makes it another magic MDT, Man City the matchup.
Monday was mediocre, but meeting the masters of the moment who just mutilated Madrid will be a massive challenge.
Leeds 2 - 0 (Mateusz and MOTM Meslier)
1-1
