Just shows how much we miss a creative player like Pablo against crap teams who are hard to break down....
Hamer would have been perfect but we didn't want to go that extra 2/3m to get him....it would have guaranteed automatic promotion and got us £200(?) m for reaching the Prem.
Aaronson went missing last night in the land of the giants and when our flying wingers aren't performing, a creative player is needed....
Think of the players we have missed out on in the last few years who would have made us an established Premier team instead of some of the dross in there who somehow stay in the Premier....
Gvardiol, Rodrigo De Paul, Gakpo, Gyokores.... and that's not crap LeedsNewsNow sites and we were linked properly.
We'll still get there though but a creative midfielder is needed in January even if we have to pay over the odds....
We keep getting linked with Lewis O'Brien, can't understand why. Well, I can, that's what chickbait sites do. I've never rated O'Brien, he's not good enough for hte premiership and we've just added a midfielder. And he's not actually available until next month.
Kent makes much more sense to me.
Would Ryan Kent be a bad signing? He's 27, it would be a free transfer, he could be this year;s Eric Cantona.

If it’s time (is it?) to evaluate the transfer window, I’d say that Farke and Leeds seem to have done a very good job.
I miss Archie, also at a conceptual level, being Leeds and all that (but we’ve still got Harry!).
But generally speaking, the new players are so good that at least Rutter and Summerville are not sorely missed. Here’s my take on what to me are the most important points:
Ramazani, Tanaka and Rothwell are extremely good finds. Also, expect Isaac Schmidt to come good. Well done, Farke. Now, get Rothwell on a permanent contract!
Giving Aaronson a second chance was brillant. Who ever it was on here who said that we could have a new Lee Boywer on our hands, could be very right. Well done, Farke; and that’s (finally) the right attitude, Brendan!
There’s so much team spirit and unity about this season’s group of players. Maybe Summerville’s ego took up too much space? Credit to Farke for his work with that important aspect of the game.
And an attempt at an advice to Farke: remember to rotate your players, and not only when injuries have already happened - it’s a long season, as everybody knows.
Ryan Kent released by the Turks so expect him to get linked to us soon for the 987th time
Welcome to Kramer, the German international who worked with Farke at Borussia Moenchengladbach.
I hope he does something about his hair and he's stopped smoking mind you.....
If, IF Coqulein signed for us then that's great if he can get up to speed.... however, why haven't other clubs come in for him in the nearly 3 months gone of the season!?
We're also linked to a German player, on the commendable LeedsNewsNow , who's supposedly Christophe Kramer who was a quality international player in the Bundesliga....
If his brother signed for Blunts today and they played against each other tomorrow, would this be a case of Kramer v Kramer....?
The above may, or not, be completely made up for a crap joke....
Rumours we are signing Chekou Kouyate on a free,ex Forrest,Palace & wet spam dcm
My reading of the Bogle/Gray discussion is that Gray while he had some good games last season, was still a makeshift full back rather than a defender, and I do think over the course of the season Bogle will prove a better fit for that position. Gray obviously will go on to be a great midfielder just not a great right back. He That’s a very fair opinion to hold.
Aaronson has just been awarded the player of the month award; which kind of backs up Kinnears comments about him being a quality championship number 10. Roll on Burnley.
Angus Kinnear has come out with an unbelievable statement to appease us. He says that we tried to get Buendia from Villa but the club didn't want to sell him and the player didn't want to move a step down to the Championship!!
What a fkn non story and if this was the case, we could say we were after Messi and Haaland who refused to move for the same reasons!
I'd suggest buying earlier in the window to bed players in to get us promoted and quality players may want to join us....
Clickbait has us departing yet again with Wober before Friday's Turkish deadline.
Galascum apparently.....
Seems the window may not be quite done yet......
Transfer from a while ago
With the Belgium transfer window ending Friday. Can we find a club to loan Gelthardt and perhaps Crewe to? Think both could play and develop on loan there. Both need game time.
Coops STILL hasn't gone anywhere and is a free agent and can still sign for someone....
Just can't understand why a Scottish club hasn't come in for him as he plays for their country....
He'd do a great job for even one of the big 2 or L1.... or be great at my hometown club Luton to shore them up with his experience....
Isaac Schmidt's first interview was very interesting. He came across very intelligent his his answers were not the typical spiel.
We've certainly been very prudent. I rate the window as a 6 (do fear we won't be able to score enough goals).
But like Smurf and others have said, we'll find out soon enough if we're strong & good enough to compete for promotion.
The 3 main players we've lost contributed a lot to last season, question is, can the replacements/newbies deliver the goods?
Would have liked to see us bring Sallai, because he at least had the requiered pedigree and quality, and unlike Hamer his fee was more realistic/doable for us.
With this window we, at the very least, must have turned the corner regarding debt, FFP/PFS or whatever.
Also if need be, come the winter window surely the 49RS would be ready to invest?!
In fairness, we are not going to know if we have bought in gold or pig iron until sometime in probably mid October, when the newbies are up to speed and on the same wave length as the manager. I would say that just because they appear to be cheap, doesn't mean that they are automatically poor players, so let's wait and see.
We really don't know yet if the squad is better or not. How many of us had heard of Rutter before we signed him? Summerville arrived via the u23 team. Gray wasn't the finished product. Kamara was ok, but nothing special and yet doubled in value. Aaraonson and Wober are akin to new signings, and Aaronson always was quality. Ramazani and Solomon are just as big a risk as Hamer or Sallai who could have been sh1t for all we know. We are stronger in defence and midfield. We also have Crew, Gray and Debayo waiting in the wings. Personally, I trust Hammond & Co who seem to know what they're doing and the real value of players. I've never been impressed by the size of a transfer cheque anyway - it's an imperfect science. Could be 10/10 or 8/10 or 6/10. Don't think it's as low as 4/10.
