Pretty sure I was one of several fans who thought Orta had finally fu*cked us over by spending a kings ransom on a French cart horse, well it seems he may have known much better than me.
Undoubtedly the standard of player in the Championship, in the main, is below the Premiership so this probably gives Rutter the freedom to express himself, added to which he hasn't just joined a side hurtling towards relegation and all the pressure that brings.
He is a absolute pleasure to watch and I would love someone to actually clock his pace, for a big chap he seems to have a fair turn of speed!
The goal was worth waiting for, the run, ball control and finish were sublime. How long will it last? haven't got a clue so let's make hay whilst the sun shines.
Overall impression on the game, well I'm not a great fan of the tippy, tappy sideways back and forth at the back, but I guess it's a strategic game of chess and who am I to question Farke.
Rodon is rock solid at the back and reads the game expertly. Sam is playing great and Gray just improves every game.
Ampadu and Kamara are forming a good partnership in the midfield.
From an attacking prospective there is no one in the division to touch us, if we only managed to convert half of our chances per game, we would probably win each match by 4 or 5 goals.
