EFL cannot let Derby off after the way they treated us!
The need to lose -9 points minimum for "financial irregularities" or cheating as you and I know it. This is what has caused their problems, cheating to get into the Prem over several years whilst other sides lived to their means.
True Soopa but in fairness shrek is getting great press out of this debacle all he is short now is coming out and make it public that "in the interest of Derby County he will take a pay cut" if he does that he will be immortalized forever there.
But you are right he knows his days are numbered as are most of the players that have contracts with Derby. I remember reading before the start of the season they only had 9 players contracted and shrek, in training, made a tackle and put one of them onto the treatment table, so how many players can they realistically sell???
It does look bleak for them but unless a club of the stature of Derby do go to the wall it wont really hit home the "gambling" owners in trying to bend the financial fair play rules to get promotions.
Derbys misfortune, if it transpires, wont make a blind of difference to the massive super rich Clubs but if a club like Barcelona a manu or if an owner like Abramovich decides to pack it all in one day its only then will you find the Countries FA or UEFA will sit up and finally do something about it.
Just imagine the turmoil a Club like Chelsea going bust would cause??
This will then apply next season unless it affects their position this season. i.e makes them relegated
-12 is just for entering Admin
But with a possible -9 for financial irregularities making it -21 this season and with their best players needing to be sold ASAP, they should go down this season and start next season on -15!
If they can find a buyer. If not then it is the end for them!
Why did we get -15 points and Luton got -30 points and Derby only get -12 points !?
Mel Morris has obviously timed this perfectly and knew he wasn't going to put them in admin until after the season has started so they weren't relegated last season.... c-unt
The EFL can today confirm that, in accordance with EFL Regulations, a 12-point deduction has been immediately applied to Derby County Football Club’s 2021/22 season total. This follows the lodging of the Notices of Intention to Appoint Administrators on Friday evening, and the subsequent announcement that the process of appointment was completed earlier today.
The debacle about the car crash and Keogh getting the sack for being a (backseat passenger). Tom Lawrence and Mason Bennett, who were both over the drink driving limit. Keogh was a passenger in Lawrence’s vehicle while Bennett was driving his own car ahead of them. Glad Keogh won his unfair dismissal case totally unwarranted to sack one player over another under those circumstances.
Never really took any notice of Derby (just another team in the 92) but spygate high moral ground, Keogh, celebration of a SEMI FINAL win was way over the top, voting us to effectively into L1 along with other clubs, the list is growing and growing, so as i say ZERO SYMPATHY
Am hearing he liquidators will speak to players + coaching staff about wage deferrals and creditors about delaying payments until January when the window opens and they can offload some players.
Unfortunately I cannot see them getting much more than £5million from player sales so with them losing £1.5 million per month they will lose £6million before then.
They have no other major assets they can sell/raise money from.
Looks like a CVA is the only solution which attracts a further -15 for them next season! Unless this only applies to LUFC.
Their only hope is for Rooney to pump in £10million from the £21 million he got from selling his image rights company and for Fat Frank to match his investment.
Buy the club for £1, agree a CVA of 1p-5p in the £, agree 15 year option to purchase ground + training ground and rebuild in L1/L2.
Better yet give -12 point deduction right now and any game they do not pay their players for they must forfeit the points for that weeks game... after 1 month of not pay other club can bid for their players out of season transfer window.
Morris has got away with it for years. He’s gone down every rabbit hole looking for solutions and he is justifiably stuck down a very deep one. He’s a great bullet dodger, Derby should have had a points deduction at the end of last season which would have relegated them, but it seems his dodging days are over.
Oh how things have changed since Lampard danced on the pitch at ER.
Maybe another -3 if they do not pay players and staff by end of Sept. Cannot see Morris dipping his hands into his short pockets to help out. Rooney has just sold off his image rights company for £21 million. Maybe he could help them as he "loves" them so much and Fat Frank got £10million odd from his Chelsea payoff, he could help too as he was pumping his chest with "so much pride" when they beat us in the playoffs.
Maybe Lawrence can attract bids of £1.5-£2 million pounds. Cannot see Prem Teams going for him so just Championship clubs but his wages are huge.
Sibley and Bird may fetch £1 million plus but cannot see many takers for the rest of the Derby players.
Only problem now is they cannot sell any players until January so it will be a long 3 1/2 months.
If losses are £1.5 million per month then the only way to make these savings is for players to agree wage deferrals but I doubt many will.
Rooney does not need the money so should set an example and take a massive wage cut.
Biggest problem they will have is they no longer own the ground and it would be difficult for new owners to buy it as Morris paid a hugely inflated sum for it. Doubt he would want to sell it back for a big loss.
They chased the dream and failed. Time for them to pay the price!
Could not have happened to a better club and owners! Hope the EFL/FA have the balls to also take -9 for financial irregularities as they were going to before admin was announced.
No-one worried when we got -15 if that was too much for us! Hell they even voted for it!!
Be great bb to see how they finish a season in L1 starting with -15.
Karma is b*tch
Reading get minus 6.
But I really hope Derby get minus 15 next season if they exit admin in the wrong manner. Would revel in their fans facing more misery!
Yeah great news re the Brentwood game....
Unfortunately I can't get the train up and have a few beers as it's too fkn expensive AND bus replacement service that day....
Anyone know why we're playing on the Sunday when it's not on tv? Surely can't be put back from the Saturday for Xmas shopping in this day and age!?
Not that I'm complaining though....! 👍👏⚽
THATS GOOD TC
Wonder how much Rooney is still taking out of the club!?
Please let them get relegated....
What a good day so far topped off by finding out I got tickets for the Brentwood game....
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is fantastic to watch. I have no sympathy at all for them.
and the -9 points is duly administered 🤓
Back to -3 points in the table 😂

The EFL have rules, not effing impose them!

I dream about that almost every week
I was entertained by all the credit Rooney is getting. "He's told the players he'll deal with all the crap, he'll lead from the front." etc etc
He already knows he's the first person the administrators will get rid of....
-15 applies if they come out of admin via a CVA.
This will then apply next season unless it affects their position this season. i.e makes them relegated

Pppp
Now wait a few weeks and give them another -9, followed by a further -3 for failing to pay players and staff on time.
Stick the knife in I say and let them wallow in L2 season after next
Am sure Fat Frank will want the manager's job then! No money, just kids and a true test of a coaches ability, Mmmmm maybe not?
BREAKING NEWS (about an hour ago 2pm)

I have zero sympathy for them

Good new for Derby! They are just about to receive £100k from Scousers as Kaide Gordon is set to start for them today.
I tend to agree Bull
The way their fans, players and coaching staff celebrated when they beat us in the play off still rankles with me.
The way they decided to take the "high moral ground" over spygate still repulses me.
The way Clough treated the Great Don still upsets me and his 44 days in charge totally pisses me off.
Yes I have a long memory!!
Let them go the way of Bury!
Let them follow bury
Am hearing he liquidators will speak to players + coaching staff about wage deferrals and creditors about delaying payments until January when the window opens and they can offload some players.

Simples!

True Bull but -9 will follow for other financial irregularities then a further -3 if they fail to pay players and staff at end of September.
Rules are rules but the EPL only seems to follow them if it involves LUFC
Derby should be docked -24 lets see how many they actually get docked.
If they get -12 they will drop to the bottom of the table on -2 but only 9 points off safety.
Not an insurmountable points tally to make up considering they still have 114 points to play for
Morris has got away with it for years. He’s gone down every rabbit hole looking for solutions and he is justifiably stuck down a very deep one. Oh how things have changed since Lampard danced on the pitch at ER.
There is some justice in the world it seems.
Nah. Remember what the EFL did to us?
Give them the -9 now for the financial irregularities.
Give them -3 next month for not paying their players on time, repeat for October, then November etc.
Give them another -12 later in the season for going into admin, but not too quickly, let them paddle a bit first.
Once they are down give them another -15 for whatever else you can find.....
Oh - and put them on another transfer embargo.
I get the chance of that happening is FAT!
-24 is only fair!
Then kick them again!
Then kick them when they are down
I find it hard to get any response from my sympathy bone on this one.
£200,000 they got us fined for walking past their training ground.
Hit them and hit them hard.
Then hit them again.
Dont think they have any players worth huge fees.
Maybe Lawrence can attract bids of £1.5-£2 million pounds. Cannot see Prem Teams going for him so just Championship clubs but his wages are huge.
Sibley and Bird may fetch £1 million plus but cannot see many takers for the rest of the Derby players.

Exactly BB, they shouldn't be giving any slack.
Wonder if Rooney will take a pay cut to help them out!! 🤔😉😲🤬🤑💸💰💵
Could not have happened to a better club and owners! Hope the EFL/FA have the balls to also take -9 for financial irregularities as they were going to before admin was announced.
No-one worried when we got -15 if that was too much for us! Hell they even voted for it!!
Looks like into administration -12 on the cards
