Starting tomorrow simple question who will win it?
I think its fairly open (for a change) and one could make a case for 8-9 teams, but taking everything into account Germany (8/1) or Portugal at 9/1 are decent prices, however both are in the group of death along with France (tournament favourites) but im not that sold on France one bit. Poobag is a liability and just mightnt do fck all, a bit like how his season went this year at scumchester.
I think Spain could suffer with the whole "covid" outbreak and belgium may not be at their very best this year, so the door is open for England, Italy (always solid in tournament football) Germany ditto and Portugal. Holland are young and their in-experience at this level could catch them out. So for me the value teams are Germany & Portugal. Germany a real footballing world powerhouse and Portugal with Diaz & Concello at the back will be really solid and if robknobldo hits the deck half as much as girlish then they wont be too far away. Group F will be fascinating, cant wait.
....the edge is taken off my misery, at least I've just won the work compo :-)
💰💰
Oh well, never mind. Now to concentrate on what really matters LUFC in the Prem!
85 of us at work in a prediction competition.
I'm actually in the lead!! so a pot of £170 is tantalisingly close....
For the record - have Kane top scoring in the tournament but we lose in the final. 😫
I know - Judas.....
Getting nervous now and the game is not until Wednesday!!!
Damsgaard is talented; fast and very good technigue. Either a 9 or 10. The biggest talent is Joakim Mæhle who plays left back… he just changed from Belgium club Genk to Atalanta in Italy, though, but would be the perfect replacement for Alioski (check out his assist for the second Danish goal against Czech Republic or his goals against Russia and Wales). Oh, and sorry, too many non-Leeds players to support England on Wednesday 🙏.
Hi Danish and hope you are well?
What's this Damsgaard like for Denmark? We've been linked to him, although I don't know how strong it is as it was on Leeds NewsNow!!
Good to hear that you'll be supporting Kalvin and England on Wednesday instead of your home country!! 🤣😂🤣😂
I just hope that Kalvin does not get too many friends from ugly clubs (for example starting with ‘M’) who might suggest him to join them. Otherwise, I enjoy his success and am somewhat proud of it!
It was laughable as was the Italian antics at the end, just falling down, feigning injury. Some call it "game management" others, like me, call it cheating and not in the spirit of the beautiful game.
Would not happen in rugby where men are men.
Italy just scored and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the theatrics of Immobile!!
5 seconds before they scored he went down clutching his leg, writhing in agony and didn't realise they'd scored until the crowd roared.... as soon as he knew they'd scored he jumped up and ran off to join in the fkn celebrations!!
He should be booked at the very minimum for trying to cheat a penalty.... why can't FIFA, The FA etc etc see this if I can!?
Time for a sin bin for cheating like this.... it would soon stop feigning injury, cheating, diving etc.

Some night of football (picked a good night to watch my 2nd game of this years euros)
Would have been a shame if France / Portugal or the Germans would have been eliminated.. We all want to see decent football with the best teams battling it out at QF and SF stages to make the final.
Looking at the draw now while England have a real humdingger coming up against the Germans those two are on the opposite side of the "rest". In my view barring a disaster implosion or official cockup whoever wins this last 16 game has an excellent chance in making it all the way to the Final.
At least KP will get a rest before preseason after we get knocked out on pens.
And nope it’s England v Germans
germans could go out and if france get a winner so could portugal
Why did Kane get a full game? Because Southgate is totally reliant on him.
It was a perfect opportunity to try another striker. If Kane gets injured again no one has had much game time in this position. As it is, he is way off form, and if that was the sole marker, he shouldn’t be playing.
Short sighted IMO.
At least Liam now gets a couple of weeks off before preseason and was not overly exerted during the tournament by the dinosaur Steve Clarke and his knock it long to the big striker tactics.
We are in 2021 not the 1990s when the Warnock tactic may have worked.
The game has moved on since, thank God!
Cannot really believe this went to the FA! All he did is make a "cry baby" face at McNeill.
Any way, will be flicking through the channels tonight to see how England/Scotland are fairing.
1 point for England enough to secure a top two spot, Scotland need to win to progress.
Hope to see both KP and Coops playing.
Had his case for racist abuse settled as well no case to answer
Well Alioski can now start thinking about where he wants to play football next year! He speaks 6 languages so has good options. Russian is not one of them, nor is Turkish.
Tyler still no game time, amazing how with Leeds MB never seems to drop him but welsh manager doesn't think he is good enough to come off the bench.
Nowt stranger than folk
Southgate emphasising his total reliance on Kane.
In other words, if Kane is off form or injured, as he is now, the team struggles to score goals.
Plan B? Plan A is seriously flawed.
Southgate = politically correct Robot.Says all the right things to appear virtuous. dull dull dull.
Someone sent me a msg saying if Southgate was the plumber in a porno, he would actually fix the taps instead of banging the wench.
At least the Poland boss gave Klitch a rest after they scored after about 58 mins. Scotland not using Cooper, Spain not using Llorente and Germany not using Koch helps. Lets just hope England are 5-0 up half time next game and Southgate then rest KP
Yup Steve!
italy like watching leeds play
Got to see my first full 90 in the Euros (italy/Swiss) have to say the Italians were very slick, especially closing down and getting the ball back quickly.
Roberto Mancini has them all on the same page and you can see the togetherness in the squad. Not sure they are clinical enough to win the Euros and if anything major happened to Captain Chiellini would they be as solid at the back. Gotta say the left back spinazzola is a class act. Jorginho and Barella bossed midfield but we gotta look at the opposition too Swiss werent up to much so for me Italy while looking good the jury is out, id like to see how they would fair against better opposition and ones that would probe a through ball and turn the defenders...
Delighted for Wales too in fairness written off, Giggs debacle, not too many household names playing with the "big" Clubs, they brought fire and passion so good luck to them hope they dont sit back and draw the italians onto them in the last group game, but with Italy already through will Mancini be tempted to rest a few of his old warriors??
Even more delighted for Turkey 🤣🤣🤣 cnuts
Wales were excellent last night and Ramsey and James were outstanding. Was refreshing to see what they did at the corners at the end of the game,
Good stuff 🐑
Haven't seen any full game (yet) but from the brief periods i have seen England are well placed, Spain unless they play with a number 9 wont do anything, Sweden were very comfortable against them last night (and should have scored 2 imho), still see Spain & Sweden progressing from their Group.
Scotland have a mountain to climb now and must get something from Friday's game to have any chance of progressing, they had opportunities and had one gone in i think they win that game yesterday afternoon and the Group has a completely new perspective and so too would the game versus England.
Overall the "standard" hasn't been great no one team has set the tournament alight and i don't see even tonight's game (which i wont see ffs) Ger/Fra will be a cagey affair. Strangely i see all the pressure being on Portugal today, they must win against Hungary if not a draw in the 8 o clock game could suit the other two and most on here are old enough to remember the Disgrace Of Gijón (Germany beating Austria only 1-0 so both teams would progress).
So far all ive seen are highlights but for me England, Italy, Belgium are looking the best, Sweden, Denmark, Slovaks look organized tough to breakdown but havent the quality up top to hurt anyone, Finland, despite their opening win along with Poland, Russia & Ukraine are poor with thankfully Turkey are the whipping boys of the tournament, so hopefully Wales will batter them 3 nil also tomorrow
Hopefully apart from KP
klitch as well at this rate all will be back refreshed
At least it now looks that Liam's Euro 2021 adventure will be over by 23rd June so, barring injury, he will get a well deserved 2 weeks rest before preseason starts.
Scotland looked pants!
Hear that Hampden Park whisper.
2 zip now
Cant for the life of me understand why goalkeepers feel the need to wander 40 yards up the pitch WTF are they looking for???? Mushrooms
That "walk-about" moment has cost the Scots their Euro dreams, fcking crazy, if i was the manager i wouldnt be picking him again
2 defenders (coops being one of them) out jumped for the goal. But sometimes you gotta give credit to the cross and to the forward for the header
Cooper playing at the heart of Scotland's defence today.
Was it correct that Sterling got MOTM?
Other than his goal I thought he was average at best. Totally ballooned two chances and ran into blind alleys.
Philips was excellent the whole game.
No wonder he makes such a difference to our Leeds side.
TC10, agree about Trippier at left-back when you've 2 natural left footers in Chilwell (offers more going forward) and Shaw (a better defender).
If Southgate wants to persist with Trippier, he should play him in his best position.
Even more so because it took Walker an hour to get anything near his usual level. I'll admit Walkerimproved notably in the last 30 mins or so, but his first 60mins were just awful.
I have finally descended from my sunny Sunday family beer and footy day.
Kalvin Phillips has just doubled his value in 90 minutes. £27M rated yesterday on Transfermarkt - today you'd never get him for less than £50M.
The most I have cheered an England game and wanted them to win since Euro 96. So chuffed for our man, he was immense, and Southgate deserves more and more respect for sticking to his guns.
Kalvin was immense!!! What a great assist!!!
Well played Kalvin!! 👏👏👏👏
As well as we played we're not going to beat the Germans or French or even break down the Italians....
What has happened to the 6 second rule for goalkeepers? Pickford had it for 23 seconds before getting rid of it!!
Cannot believe we're starting with a right footed left back when we have Chilwell and Shaw who are BOTH more than good enough and give us natural balance.... every longer ball Trippier will play when not under pressure will be from his right foot which will go in a different direction.
What is the point of 2 NATURAL LBs if we're not going to play them!?
I can understand Sterling instead of Grealish because he has pace. He hasn't done it recently though and I'd swap them 10 mins after half time if it's not working....
Come on ingerland
Phillips starts
I think this is one of the worst England tourney teams I have seen and don't see them winning, which means they probably will.
I am going for an underdog, maybe Croatia or Belgium
I am backing England but hope Gareth does not favour Jordan Bendersbum or Hairy Maguire, They have not played for weeks and will never be up to speed.
We did this Dwayne Rooney and his metatarsal and with others before. Players have to be match-ready not get games because of their previous reputation.
Just a solid 4-2-3-1 with KP as the lynchpin.
Germany beat italy in one SF
Portugal beat Denmark in other SF
Germany win the final
Italy to beat Portugal in the final.
England to get knocked out in quarters by France.
I have to agree that quarter finals would be par - that's the home of the big 8 in Europe, after that it's anybody's
Once out of the group we get:-
Win Group D - we get Portugal or Germany most likely but maybe France
2nd Group D - we probably get Sweden or Poland
3rd place - chance of progression but end up with Spain, Holland or Belgium on form.
Ain't it bizarre - our best chance may be to finish second in the group
Got a bet on Portugal not to progress from the group....
Ingerland will get through the group and lose either in the next round or quarters as usual unfortunately....
We got to the semis in the world Cup purely by luck of finishing 2nd in the group and having an easy pathway through!!
Southgate is a lovely fella but just fits the FA criteria with no skeletons in the closet.... we won't progress under him and need Hoddle back for a 4yr stint.
I've backed Kane for top scorer and Germany to win it. I feel dirty but will get over when I collect the money.
Come on though England, don't think we will do that well though, if Bielsa was in charge we might have a chance.
