We are buying unproven players for circa 30m....smaller teams who are far higher than us in the table have steady, unexciting and solid players who have proved they mix it in the Prem for next to nothing.

My take on the transfer window
Wober - great signing, looks the part already. Assertive, versatile, comfortable bringing the ball forward. 9/10
Rutter - looks an enormous talent. If we can keep Rutter and Gelhardt, we have two of the best striking prospects in the premiership. 8/10
Monteiro - yes, he's only 18 but like Gnonto, Summerville, Greenwood etc, he's expected to fast track into the first squad sooner than later. 7/10
McKennie - another versatile player, I do think he's the long term successor to Dallas. Adds cover for Adams and can play across the midfield and cover at full back. 7/10
Overall, we have a lot of depth in the squad and in every position. And we can still look forward to the return of Dallas, Fragile Forshaw and golden boy Archie Gray. Longer term Cresswell, Hjelde, Bate, Gelhardt and Drameh will hopefully come back as much improved players and ready to compete for first team places.

Midfield
Yes we are getting stronger and we are getting amoungst the opposition, but sometimes i feel we are trying to force that extra pass and most of the time a ball over the top with our pace on the wings is the better option. I know its a different sport but the principle is the same (finding enough space) in rugby the best way to stop defenses closing down the space for you to work in is a simple ball over the top and the next time the opposition backline wont be that eager to leave too much space behind them especially if you can exploit all that green grass.
Defence
No point in beating about the bush here we are shocking and i cant see us improving week on week, in fact i think since the start of this season we have gotten worse alot worse. Coops (for all his frailties) somehow brings a more stable backline and i know TC10 had his tinhat on earlier in the week when mention Harry McGuire but the more i think of him i think he could bring stability to our back 3-4.
One thing i am certain of, if we lose Meslier to another Club (which is coming i think) then i dont see us staying up despite our massive potential up top. The lowest scorers in the Championship caused havoc last night when they got into our box so can you imagine what a PL team will do to our backline.
Yes no PL team will look forward in playing us especially at ER but all PL strikers must be rubbing their hands if they know they are facing leeds on a saturday afternoon.

Sometimes you also have to have a player who won't fit into your pattern of play.... you change your system for players like him. You shouldn't have to have centre forwards chasing down full backs.... let them stay in the box to SCORE!! You don't ask CBs to fly up the wings and ask them to stay central on the half way line when not involved in the play....
He's a natural goalscorer and we'd supply him with loads of chances....

Really can't see Leeds being interested in Maximillian Wober. We've four CBs already and Cresswell out on loan. Centre Back and Goalkeeper are the two areas where we don't need strengthening.
Whilst Left Back is an area that could be strengthened, Kai Wagner would be a poor fit. He may be doing well in the MLS but it's a very mediocre league, whereas he failed to make it in the lower leagues in Germany> i'd rate him no better than Firpo.
This transfer window's rumours are proving to be even more speculative and dubious than normal. Cunha and Gapko have proven to be figmants of fantasy. For me, the only rumour that seems to have any depth is George Hall which seems to fit our transfer policy and as a defensive midfielder who would offer cover for Adams. It's also worth noting that unlike major transfer rumours, the prediction pundits seem to have a good record on spotting potential young player signings.

The company's Everbright Capital Investment unit and Everbright Capital's overseas investment vehicle Jinxin filed suit in London's High Court of England and Wales seeking $661 million (4.2 billion yuan) in damages. Interesting snippet on BBC Radio Leeds - apparently there's a risk that radz could be in the courts - some Chinese claims of misrepresentation or something of that ilk when they bought one of his companies (I think that's it anyway).
