Assuming that Meslier, Summerville, Rutter, Gnonto and Firpo will be sold, but Ampadu stays, and that Rodon’s loan will not be repeated, this could - as per today, i.e. before possible incoming players - be our strongest line-up in August:
Klaesson Drameh Struijk Cresswell Byram
Gruev Ampadu
Gray
James Joseph S.Greenwood
Drameh and Greenwood’s return to LUFC probably is a long shot - but both were considered big talents two years ago, and they have good crossing and shooting skills. Assuming that Byram is good enough, or not injury prone, is critical.
I am not convinced by Klaesson (but even less Karl Darlow), and would go for Daniel Iversen from Leicester (on loan at Stoke this season).
