Monday 17th April 2023 @ 2000hrs
Hopefully wet spam and the florists pick up as many points as the Saints and foxes did leaving us mid table.
Onto Monday.
Midtable liver💩 are the visitors.
Calm down
Elland Road will have a corner of the ground stereotypically full of curly haired shell suited jailbirds.
Liver💩 is the home to the icicle works, wah, la's and echo and his bunnymen.
All very pleasurable despite the accents.
Dougy Bader dropped some wartime bombs on liver💩 and caused £10 of improvements.
Leeds will be missing all their best players for a change.
The remaining will have sore rings after last weeks palace punishment.
Two nil Leeds Sinisterra and Becchio.
Mot x
Watched the game again and have to say the following.
Team defensive structure - The team as a unit do not seem to have a solid structure. At no time over the past 2 game (or all season) have we seen two banks of four in straight line nor any other type of defensive recognisable structure. The basic understanding of where to position themselves to correctly shut down space is lacking that badly that basic passing becomes a challenge to defend.
Central Midfield is the root cause - Centrally our inability to control space or the ball means that we are open to every basic central organized attack. The inability to understand the who goes and who stays is further providing pressure on our defenders. There is at least 5 times a half which seesthe CB's becoming unsure if to step into that midfield hole or stay. That 1 to 2 seconds of uncertainty individually results in the remaining 3 defenders further hesitant play which inturn allows attackers that time needed to destroy us.
Communication or lack of - the team as a whole do not talk to each other. It is like they have all had there tongues removed.
Final point to make is that we had no game plan these past 2 games.
Last thing.. I told you Marc Roca was just like Championship Paul Okon.
Totally depressed today and lacking any enthusiam. Really do not know what is going on.
Reluctantly agree we need 3 at the back now in a 3-5-2 formation
Meslier
Koch Wober Cooper
Aling Gyabi Pascal Roca Harrison
Bemford Gnonto
As the day has gone on I have got more and more angry about last night. I think when I got home after the game I was just in shock with how bad it was, how far behind we have let ourselves become.
The blame lies with radz and orta primarily. The players lack skill and bottle but look at who signed them.
The board should be getting more stick.
Still so angry about that performance....
Is it the management or players fault.... definitely both.
One thing that stuck out was very near the end of the game, Liverpool had 4 players around Rutter when they were 4/5 goals up....we used to do that with Bielsa and crowd the opposition to win the ball back.
And Rutters touch is fkn awful for a 35m player and looks totally lost.... in his minutes on the pitch in his Leeds career I think he's turned his man once and looked half decent over 10 yds 😲🤔
Opinion only for discussion - can't back any of this this up - but......
I am convinced there was some kind of implosion in the dressing room at half time v Palace and now we have a bad smell lingering.
Roca was all over the players before Forest - geeing everyone up - he had a great game, so did McKennie. We also looked great in the first half v Palace until Roca gave away the soft set piece that led to the goal.
I think McKennie has been told he's not staying so he's on the beach - I think Roca has been shot by his team mate(s) and is sulking a bit - I think Ayling and Bamford may have been part of it and that's why they were left out last night.
Firpo back to his worst again too.
Rutter and Gnonto must be wondering what they've joined...
Meslier allegedly wants out regardless, so does Koch - this needs a strong leader now and that's Gracia's biggest weakness as a coach - he's overly calm and nice.
Against Fulham I agree with TC10 - we will have to revert to the old boys club to have any chance, but that's not the future is it....
It’s just taken me 4 hours to get back from Leeds after that performance what a shower they are it’s Fulham next then Leicester a poi is the most I see is getting
We are getting cut open at the back with no defence to talk about.... Rasmussen and Firpo are caught out of position more than a Sunday parks team.
I've said so many times before that we HAVE to have a Plan B formation.... we play a rigid 4-2-3-1. Our full backs cannot fkn defend so play them as wing backs to OUR strengths!
Play Gyabi in central midfield on his own as Roca and Mackenzie are nowhere near good enough.... never happen though but couldn't do any fkn worse.
An extra CB could plug more gaps.... Coops could sweep and organise with Koch and Wober either side.
We know on Saturday that Coops, Ayling, Forshaw and Bamford will be starting.... Championship players at best at the moment!
What a fkg pile of sh*te. I didn't necessarily expect us to beat Liverpool, but I thought we would at least put on a show following the sh*t show against Palace. Yes, the blatant handball was outrageous but what happened after that you wouldn't see on a Sunday morning at the local park!. Well at least we have probably set a Premiership record with the only team to concede back to back home games with goals totalling 11!!. Fkg clueless!!!
We lack leaders
It just seems that every other team are comfortable on the ball with little triangles etc... we look like schoolkids and can't keep it!
Roca and Mackenzie looked like L1 players with balls just played around them with Liverpool players swamping them. Trent was playing middle of midfield against them and ran the show!!
What happened to us since Bielsa when we all wanted the ball and played fast flowing football!?
It's so lucky Soton, Leicester, Forest and Everton look so crap....
Fkn embarrassing....
This is a team who haven’t a clue what they’re doing. They’re going down and unless there are huge changes they won’t be back for a long time
🐕💩
The awful truth is starting to dawn on me.
Minor point given the performance…. why was a handball not given in the lead up to the first goal?
Doesn't seem to matter who the manager is.
Play gung-ho with no plan B, or try to change it up for the opposition and adapt.
Same result
Individual howlers and we might as well get a shotgun and blow our own toes off.
Today's menu features Firpo and Mckennie - wonder when Roca will screw one up 😣
At least we can't blame Ayling today
Well, that’s that and it’s not even half time. Midfield isn’t there, and can’t keep any possession and we are being overrun. How did we go from being a team that dominated possession under MB to this? We really miss Adams in midfield and Cooper’s leadership.
Good luck Seaside, anything tonight would be a bonus, so I would take a draw 1-1 Cummmmmonnnnn U Mighty Fookin Whites💛💙
Kristian Rasmussen in for Ayling....
Wober back on bench....
No Bamford in squad... injured?
Need to give Gnonto a run from half time if it's not working.... and let Summerville run at them
Nice one Seaside
It's good when somebody brings something new to the tired MDT lay out IMO, the emoji title is revolutionary. Let's hope we don't lose or it will be ill thought of for some time.
The weather looks nice for tonight.
I'D LOVE IT IF WE BEAT THESE TONIGHT, The double over them would be amazing. I don't like Liverpool me!.
COME ON LEEDS
2-1 an invigorated Rodrigo x 2
Well stepped up Seaside. ~Thank you
MOT............!!!
Fingers and toes crossed for you seaside, unfortunately with hammers but worse for us was boringmouth's win at Spurs, that 4 point gap needs to be somehow reduced and reduced very quickly otherwise the relegation battle will soon become a bottom 5 with 3 to go fight. And to be honest i think hammers are going to be ok regardless, as they have boringmouth (next), Palace who are effectively safe and Leicester second last game of the season.
F**king still fuming over that second half implosion against Palace😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
8 games left 4 at home 4 away, we must set ourselves a target of 8 points from the next 4 games, a point tonight, another at Fulham and beat both leicester and boringmouth are a must imho. Those potential 8 points should hopefully keep us up plus "if" other results go against us at least we have 4 more games to add to the 38 points in the month of May (mind you looking at those City, barcodes, hammers and spurs) i wouldnt be expecting 8 points from that set of 4.
Just looked at spammers fixtures their last game is at Leicester but it comes a week before the Europa Conference League final so "if" they get to the showdown you can be guaranteed Moyes will have a second / third string out that day.
I think loserpool arent the force they were, but still we are going to be to the pin of our collar to get anything tonight, no stupid free kicks, need to be in their faces from minute one and disciplined in the tackle, cant afford to be picking up yellow / red cards tonight, and press at the right times. We certainly cant afford to go bald headed and leve ourselves wide open because if we do yes it could be a goalfest but we wont out score loserpool in a nine goal thriller.
Leeds are currently 15/4
Draw 100/30
Scumpool 4/7
the bookies are rarely wrong but im clinging onto a dream that the fans will "G" the lads on and for the game to finish with once again no cleansheet for IM since Feb but Jack to do what Jack does best and cut in from the left to let one fly into the top left hand corner of Alisson's goal, que limbs tumbling down all 4 sides of ER 1-1.
Full House
Its going to be a long 13 hours
Well stepped up Seaside and an easy game for starters 👏
Quality MDT and good luck for a prolonged run 👍
I'm going for a VERY positive 2-1 victory with Sinesterra and Harrison notching....
Loved The Icicle Works about 30yrs ago and just listened to them again today for first time in ages!!
Well done mate 3-3
The very best of luck to you Seaside - we need something from the game to bury that second half last weekend
I hope we'll bag a draw, but if we do it'll be 2-2
