Well tonight I shall be watching and cheering on the mighty Brentford. Should be a tight match, I'd probably take a draw, Southampton would stay below us.
I just thought it might be nice to go through these things together, we can console each other in a non Deena fashion.
What about the Adams injury news eh, ffs, just what we bloody needed.
Hope Palace lose also obviously, but realisticly I think they won't go down.
Plymouth play at Home Park for those who like a drive at the weekend.
Very simple now for us, 6 out of six needed.
Truthfully can't even justify us staying up, weve been so catastrophically poor over the past 2 months, a situation brewed up by poor leadership from the top down.
Whatever the outcome of this season we need a complete overhaul and clear out of our overpaid and underperforming squad.
Well done Forest 10 points from their last 5 games. Arsenal were poor and lacked imagination against a team more determind for the win more than them. That said I was hoping Forest would lose today and give us better chance for survival as two from four much better than two from three.
After Everton's late point against Wolves they will likely finish with 36 points disposing of a Bounemouth team who reeached safety after a stunning 15 points in April. I really hope we play with as much grit and desire to stay in the Prem as we saw from Forest today and those who were also in the mix at the beginnng of April.
However we do now need a max 6 points to add to our 31 to finish ahead of Everton. And, as M'lud has already stated not impossibel but ....who knows !
It's in our own hands, a bit like it's in my hands to go out and successfully chat up beyoncè and marry her and live happily ever after. Neither are impossible but both are highly unlikely.
Everton equalise 99th min ffs, 2 wins and were safe. Easy
West ham won tonight.
Is this a good thing?
They safe on 37 with a decent goal difference.
They get 9 injuries tonight?
Hopefully they get stoned or the clap on the way home from Holland tonight.
Haha Kiwi but unfortunately the only reason we're not down already is cause other teams are as bad or worse than us!!
We keep relying on them to fk up and they do!
Perhaps if we relied on OURSELVES to get a WIN we'd have a chance of staying oop. We HAVE to go for it v West Ham whatever the other results the day before....
Just hope Big Sam plays a side to WIN and not just defend and hopefully nick one from a set piece....
Summerville, Gnonto etc need to play to create chances to score.... we CAN play football and CAN stay oop
TC-please let me hang on to my last straw lol 😥
Too much feel good factor on here and time for us to come back down to earth.... if Forest and Everton win on Saturday and we lose on Sunday, we're fkn relegated!! 😲🖕🥊🤬
m.lord----its in our hands---4 points and i reckon were safe--not impossible now we know Firpo wont be playing--need Rodrigo and Gnoto to start
Now let's hope forest and Everton lose on Saturday before we spectacularly thump WHU, come on Leeds! (Wolves and Arsenal!!!)
I'm oddly hopeful tonight.
2-0 pool looks like they are settling for that
Come on Liverpool--think of the goal difference--WE WANT 10 LOL
It's why football is such a great game though and why we love it.... if every game finished with the team who's higher in the table winning, it'd be a boring game and we have the best league in the world.
Didn't we beat Citeh away a couple of seasons ago? We stuffed Chelscum 3-0 earlier in the season. We beat Liverpool away earlier in the season.... will the FA be looking into these results?
I know what is meant but surely our league has the most integrity in the world....?
Be great if Citeh didn't take their foot off the gas and get 2/3 more to get us the same goal difference.... that could be vital and worth a point to us
36 minutes and city not score
was hoping West Ham are going to win so they would be on the beach for Sunday but 1 - 0 down
After a draw, we're 1 point off safety..
here are the big games
Villa v Spuds (we need Spuds beaten to put them on the beach)
Chelsea v Forest
Everton v Man City
Leicester v Liverpool
Spammers are safe. Like others hope next weeks Europa game goes to ET and they get through. Then they can rest their big guns v us.
FFS Brighton threw in the towel v 2 relegation teams!
TC---I am too rapped about the result--they will be saving there bubbles for the final whilst we sneak up on the southerners and BURST there bubble and take 3 points----😎
Its Friday morning and will be finished at work in 2 hours---Stoned and plissed by tea-time lol---Welcome to the week-end
Great result for us tonight with West Ham winning and hopefully they'll get to the Europa Conference final....
They're clear from relegation and play us 2wks before the final so won't want anyone injured....
Hopefully they'll play a weakened team, although probably not allowed, but even if they do play a strong team we need to fire in fkn HARD for the first 15mins and they will hopefully roll over for us!!
GET INTO THEM, FK EM OOP....
Remaining fixtures
Nottingham Forest - Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H), Palace (A)
Everton - Man City (H), Wolves (A), Bournemouth (H)
Leicester City - Liverpool (H), Newcastle (A), West Ham (H)
Leeds United - Newcastle (H), West Ham (A), Tottenham (H)
Southampton - Fulham (H), Brighton (A), Liverpool (H)
Time to believe!!!
I cannot see Forest getting any points, Everton may get 4 points, Leicester 3 points, Saints maybe 1 point.
I am sure we can get 6 points minimum
Table would then be
Everton 36 points
Leeds 36 points
Forest 34 points
Leicester 33 points
Southampton 25 points
I call for a investigation into the Everton result. Both teams i this game did a full reverse in form.
Sorry BB but if we can get 184m for the players you have named then I'd like you to be in charge to sell them.... I agree those players will leave but my valuations would be:
Meslier.... 10
Koch....10
Rodrigo.... 5
Gnonto 20
Llorente.... 5
Adams.... 20
James.... 5
Roberts....2 but will probably stay!
Costa, Shacks, Poveda .... Free
I think Strujik will stay but if not 5?
Add in Sinesterra 10
Summerville 8
Firpo.... 3
Bamford 8
The thing is are the youngsters good enough!?
If we bought in a few would the youngsters even get a chance!?
We would have the most transfer kitty to spend in the Championship with incoming fees, parachute payments and, hopefully, the 69ers money but....
Tough decisions to be made....
I really hoped this thread would be surplus to requirements by now and we would have stormed up the league but at this rate it won't be needed soon as we will be officially relegated and won't give a damn how Forest are doing.
What a shambles of a season, well 2 seasons really.
This gas is called H2O and can be removed from regular water by a simple process of electrolysis. Water can be used as a health mineral for apparent reasons, however, natural spring water is a detailed procedure by which water can be removed and used as needed over many years.
Time to consider which players would stay wih us if we go down.
Doubt many will give us one more year.
Ayling, Cooper, Dallas, Forshaw (contract renewed) + some U21s who know they will now get chance - Greenwood, Jospeh, Perkins, Geldhart, Gray, Gyabi, Hjelde, Bate, Cresswell maybe Drameh too.
Then the rest will see who wants them before the decide. Most will not find anyone.
Can see these going - Meslier £25million, Koch £20million, Llorente £10million, Struijk £15 million, Adams £25 million, Harrison £25 million, Gnonto £35 million, Rodrigo £10 million, Costa £5 million, Shacks £1 million, Roberts £2 million, Poveda £1 milion, James £10 million = £184 million
If we are skilled negotiators, which we are not, these players could bring in £240 million.
At the lower end, it would give the manager £80 million to spend in the summer.
I may not ever wanted Sam to get the gig but I think he could get us up with that kitty.
Think we may need 36 points minimum. Beat Barcodes, Spammers and Spuds and we have 9! It really is that easy.
What a crap day of football Fulham do their job Brighton throw it and Southampton well
.. And so it has come to pass...after Everton win tonigh. The P1ss poor recruitment from Victor with Radz inactive throughout the process, (just hoping for the best) gambling on bargain basement buys. Total lack of strategic thinking with choices of management. This is what has cost the club is premier status and likely cost Radz 300m.
F...ing furious ! We all saw this one coming a long time ago they for some reason didn't.
Radz out!
No doubt Forest will beat Saints tonight, just to compound the misery!
Everton..... oh sweet mercy.
2-0 up at the Amex...
TBF west ham were never really in "trouble", now that they have all but secured survival id say Moyes will want to wrap his players in cotton wool for their European fixtures, so good luck to them on that score, That penalty shout right on the stroke of HT in the game just goes to prove that football is rotten to the core, a fcking blind would see that ffs, but it was against one of the big boys so play on???
Saints must beat forest tonight if forest win that's our death nail as i don't see us "winning" any game from the next three, draws yes but no win sadly. I think the most we get is 32 points, so we are dependent on other teams losing their games in order for us to stay up.
How just how did this squad of players let it get to this? i still reckon something happened in the dressing room at HT in the Palace game and the players haven't been united since.
So looking at the table, if things go horribly wrong tonight then we could be 2nd bottom by 10pm!.
Have to hope Saints beat Forest now
Assuming Southampton are down, I have worked out Everton, Leicester and Forest will all definitely lose 2 of their remaining 4 games....
They all have one winnable game and a draw.... that means we need at least 4pts to make sure on goal difference!!
A win and a draw for us v West Ham and Spurs.... if we could somehow manage to get a point at either Citeh or Newcastle that could be vital.
Jeez, I've just realised what I posted above! 🙈😲🤔🙈
good results Saturday for us but I still think we need 6 or 7 points from last 5 games to stay up ..hopefully Leicester Everton is a draw with loads of injuries & red cards! ..
We need he win on Sunday v Bournemouth then we have 4 games where we would be lucky to get 2 points.
Everton, Foxes, Saints and Forest all have 1 winnable game and 4 difficult ones too.
It may be settled by goal difference.
CHINK OF LIGHT!!!
Everton getting whupped at home
+
Marcus Tavernier - Bournemouth's top scorer has just limped off, visibly upset..... looks out of our match...
Trying to find the positives
Doesn't matter if we can't beat another straggler Sunday.
We were going to be safe by now by beating (mainly at home) all the detritus around us in April.
If we have to pay another 4m for a Gnonto appearance, then why is he on the bench.... it's a lose lose situation as will piiss the fans off when he's not brought on even when we're losing!
That 'ploy' by the owners etc simply will not work for another 5 games.... I'm sure that's not the case
Who's watching the Southampton game tonight, don't know what I want to happen really. I mean if Southampton win then we beat bournmouth we would go above them.
Forest gave it their all last night but it was a bloody good time to play Brighton after the cup defeat.
We would have probably still lost though.
I have no hope of us staying up. If we can beat Bournemouth then it gives us a slight slight chance but I don't think we will.
Team full of fannies, mentally and physically ( maybe not all of them but you know who I mean).
If Gnonto plays (If If If the doylum in charge picks him) then that will give us a lift.
So the large lady is clearing her throat backstage for a few teams, and tonight will make sh*t real for 2 more teams.
Ideally Boringmouth and Barcodes to win tonight, with brentford to beat forest on Saturday, Newcastle to beat Southampton on Sunday & Everton to beat Foxes on Monday, but none of that matters unless we ACTUALLY WIN our game against bournemouth on Sunday.
Personally its down to pride now and while i was watching City/Arsenal last night my brother told me (forest fan) the Forest players never gave up even when they missed a peno and went one down they never let the heads drop
WE CANT SAY THAT about our players and they need to show what fight they have left for our jersy otherwise they can all be sold in the summer (no exceptions) and start afresh with new manager and new squad in Championship (probably end up in L1 doing that but fck it if the people in the Club CARE about LUFC i personally think thats the starting point for anyone associated with our great Club).
I want to stay in the PL dont get me wrong and i firmly believe this squad has more than enough quality to stay up but quality accounts for little if desire is in short supply.
Sadly tho as i look across the fields the dark clouds are gathering overhead and i fear LUFC wont be highest ranked team in Yorkshire next season
PROVE ME WRONG PLAYERS,
PROVE ME WRONG
Can't expect everyone else to keep losing...they won't as evidenced tonight.
Got to get our own shi'ite in order and win games.
It's looking bleak.
So looking at the bottom 9 teams this weekend and the games they have
Ideally Fulham and Spurs win, keeping Boringmouth and everton below us for a start.
then possibly a draw for palace and wolves will keep another 2 teams below us (forest & foxes)
Then whats best for the hammers/saints game? a draw keeps both below us but that would mean 4 teams below us all pick up something from the weekend where realistically we wont get anything against Arsenal, do we really want teams stacking up behind us or would it be better to have 2 teams cut adrift and take our chances to stay out of the dreaded 18th spot??
For me id take 0 pts on Saturday in the hope that we take all 3 against Forest next Tuesday night.
Nerves are beginning to build up
Palace losing 2-0
Forest v Newcastle next up. Would be a great start to the weekend if Newcastle win but it will be a tough task.
Haway the lads
2 good results for us tonight. Can we take advantage from them?
More than ever we need a win Saturday.
