Who goes and who stays in this transfer window? For me it is a bit of a clean up of the financial side that look to do. With this in mind I go with following.
Loan out for 18 month Gelthardt - he needs that long to regain his mojo ( maybe redbull have team we can use).
Sell Bamford - allow him a swansong in France as the league would suit his football style and personality.
Loan out for 6 month to league 2 Crew, Debayo, to gain first experience (must play every game)
Figure out if Meslier truly want a move and if make it happen as those rumours on him are a distraction he can not get past.
If Harrison has indeed played his last game for Everton and returns in January, would he play ahead of any of our existing four wingers?
No doubt TC would play him at LB.
Tin hat time only putting it out there....would you sell Struijk whosinkedo Spuds, brighton and wolves! 25m is the fee. I dont want him go but he still makes mistakes and gets caught out but will be coming in to his prime in 2yrs. If we spent money on proven CB is it worth it? We have Wober (who will probably be sold), Ampadu and Guilavogui to cover and should be good enough. I think Guilavogui could be quality at CB if given an opportunity. I still wouldntell Struijk though. Happy Xmas to all of I dontet back on the forum as I canteep posting like this....
With who we're linked to now, I'd go for the following....
Svensson or Cirkin at LB as Firpo can speak to other clubs in January for a summer transfer.... Svensson linked to Prem clubs and Cirkin is injured and will probably stay loyal to Blunderland though.
Ferguson from Brighton on loan will get us goals til the end of the season....if we get promoted he'll want to stay with us.
Either McAtee, Carvalho or Buendia as no10 on loan with an option to buy....
Surely even the 69ers can afford quality loans!!
Archie Gray being linked with a return on loan to get some gametime.... surely we'd have to guarantee that or it's not worth Spuds letting him go to us!?
I wouldn't drop Bogle for Archie as he's finally coming good. I also wouldn't drop Tanaka or Rothwell for Gray....
Weird to say it but a 40m player can't get in our team!
Yeah Mcatee is a PROPER no10 and had good stats in the Championship....
Citeh will never play him and simply buy a world class player for 80 odd mill ....
Wet Spam are rumoured to be in for him in January when Paqueta is banned though ....
it seems to me our best hope for a number 10 is to go back in for James McAtee. He's not getting any game time at Man City, has proven credentials playing in the championship with Sheffield United. And I think City would consider loaning him out in January, with a possible option to buy next summer.
That's if we don't sign Ryan Kent. 🤣
Just shows how much we miss a creative player like Pablo against crap teams who are hard to break down....
Hamer would have been perfect but we didn't want to go that extra 2/3m to get him....it would have guaranteed automatic promotion and got us £200(?) m for reaching the Prem.
Aaronson went missing last night in the land of the giants and when our flying wingers aren't performing, a creative player is needed....
Think of the players we have missed out on in the last few years who would have made us an established Premier team instead of some of the dross in there who somehow stay in the Premier....
Gvardiol, Rodrigo De Paul, Gakpo, Koopmeiners, Gyokores.... and that's not crap LeedsNewsNow sites and we were linked properly.
We'll still get there though but a creative midfielder is needed in January even if we have to pay over the odds....
We keep getting linked with Lewis O'Brien, can't understand why. Well, I can, that's what chickbait sites do. I've never rated O'Brien, he's not good enough for hte premiership and we've just added a midfielder. And he's not actually available until next month.
Kent makes much more sense to me.
Would Ryan Kent be a bad signing? He's 27, it would be a free transfer, he could be this year;s Eric Cantona.

If it’s time (is it?) to evaluate the transfer window, I’d say that Farke and Leeds seem to have done a very good job.
I miss Archie, also at a conceptual level, being Leeds and all that (but we’ve still got Harry!).
But generally speaking, the new players are so good that at least Rutter and Summerville are not sorely missed. Here’s my take on what to me are the most important points:
Ramazani, Tanaka and Rothwell are extremely good finds. Also, expect Isaac Schmidt to come good. Well done, Farke. Now, get Rothwell on a permanent contract!
Giving Aaronson a second chance was brillant. Who ever it was on here who said that we could have a new Lee Boywer on our hands, could be very right. Well done, Farke; and that’s (finally) the right attitude, Brendan!
There’s so much team spirit and unity about this season’s group of players. Maybe Summerville’s ego took up too much space? Credit to Farke for his work with that important aspect of the game.
And an attempt at an advice to Farke: remember to rotate your players, and not only when injuries have already happened - it’s a long season, as everybody knows.
Ryan Kent released by the Turks so expect him to get linked to us soon for the 987th time
Welcome to Kramer, the German international who worked with Farke at Borussia Moenchengladbach.
I hope he does something about his hair and he's stopped smoking mind you.....
If, IF Coqulein signed for us then that's great if he can get up to speed.... however, why haven't other clubs come in for him in the nearly 3 months gone of the season!?
We're also linked to a German player, on the commendable LeedsNewsNow , who's supposedly Christophe Kramer who was a quality international player in the Bundesliga....
If his brother signed for Blunts today and they played against each other tomorrow, would this be a case of Kramer v Kramer....?
The above may, or not, be completely made up for a crap joke....
Rumours we are signing Chekou Kouyate on a free,ex Forrest,Palace & wet spam dcm
My reading of the Bogle/Gray discussion is that Gray while he had some good games last season, was still a makeshift full back rather than a defender, and I do think over the course of the season Bogle will prove a better fit for that position. Gray obviously will go on to be a great midfielder just not a great right back. He That’s a very fair opinion to hold.
Aaronson has just been awarded the player of the month award; which kind of backs up Kinnears comments about him being a quality championship number 10. Roll on Burnley.
Angus Kinnear has come out with an unbelievable statement to appease us. He says that we tried to get Buendia from Villa but the club didn't want to sell him and the player didn't want to move a step down to the Championship!!
What a fkn non story and if this was the case, we could say we were after Messi and Haaland who refused to move for the same reasons!
I'd suggest buying earlier in the window to bed players in to get us promoted and quality players may want to join us....
Clickbait has us departing yet again with Wober before Friday's Turkish deadline.
Galascum apparently.....
Seems the window may not be quite done yet......
Transfer from a while ago
With the Belgium transfer window ending Friday. Can we find a club to loan Gelthardt and perhaps Crewe to? Think both could play and develop on loan there. Both need game time.
Coops STILL hasn't gone anywhere and is a free agent and can still sign for someone....
Just can't understand why a Scottish club hasn't come in for him as he plays for their country....
He'd do a great job for even one of the big 2 or L1.... or be great at my hometown club Luton to shore them up with his experience....
Isaac Schmidt's first interview was very interesting. He came across very intelligent his his answers were not the typical spiel.
We've certainly been very prudent. I rate the window as a 6 (do fear we won't be able to score enough goals).
But like Smurf and others have said, we'll find out soon enough if we're strong & good enough to compete for promotion.
The 3 main players we've lost contributed a lot to last season, question is, can the replacements/newbies deliver the goods?
Would have liked to see us bring Sallai, because he at least had the requiered pedigree and quality, and unlike Hamer his fee was more realistic/doable for us.
With this window we, at the very least, must have turned the corner regarding debt, FFP/PFS or whatever.
Also if need be, come the winter window surely the 49RS would be ready to invest?!
In fairness, we are not going to know if we have bought in gold or pig iron until sometime in probably mid October, when the newbies are up to speed and on the same wave length as the manager. I would say that just because they appear to be cheap, doesn't mean that they are automatically poor players, so let's wait and see.
We really don't know yet if the squad is better or not. How many of us had heard of Rutter before we signed him? Summerville arrived via the u23 team. Gray wasn't the finished product. Kamara was ok, but nothing special and yet doubled in value. Aaraonson and Wober are akin to new signings, and Aaronson always was quality. Ramazani and Solomon are just as big a risk as Hamer or Sallai who could have been sh1t for all we know. We are stronger in defence and midfield. We also have Crew, Gray and Debayo waiting in the wings. Personally, I trust Hammond & Co who seem to know what they're doing and the real value of players. I've never been impressed by the size of a transfer cheque anyway - it's an imperfect science. Could be 10/10 or 8/10 or 6/10. Don't think it's as low as 4/10.
4/10 for this transfer window for me. Obviously i may look back and think differently.
I make it 8 players transferred IN for circa 36m(?)....an average of 4.5m per player.
Circa 95m(?) for Gray, Rutter and Summerville has come IN to our club from these.... that's without being arsed to count up other outgoings and wages off the books. An average of 32m per player.
Bit of a difference in the average price of incoming and outgoing players....
Loss of form, injuries, suspension and pure lack of competition is vital for squad DEPTH!
How the fk are we going to replace Rutters assists and Summerville goals.... it's not fkn rocket science.
Sallai or Hamer would have sorted us out and been absolute peanuts spent if they are the difference between promotion and staying in the Championship AGAIN!!
So that's probably that for the transfer window - if we overlook the loanee and peripheral squad players the actual effect last season to this season is as follows:
GK - no change
FB - Bogle & Schmidt in for Gray, Shackleton & Roberts
CB - Wober instead of Cresswell (also Struijk fit again)
CM - Rothwell & Tanaka in for Kamara (also Ampadu in CM)
Wide - Solomon & Ramazani in for Summerville & Anthony
No 10 - Aaronson in for Rutter
Striker - no change
We appear to have like for like replacements, Aaronson has started off contributing well, FB now has cover and CB/CM are arguably stronger. We'll see if Solomon or Ramazani contribute like Summerville but in a slightly weaker league I feel we'll struggle for excuses not to be right up there.
We've been linked with absolute quality all week.... now it looks like we've got 2 players we've never heard of as back up for a combined 5m.
No doubt we'll say we were in for these big names but just couldn't get it over the line.
NO SHIIT SHERLOCK.... perhaps if we go in a bit earlier for the fkers we'd have a fkn chance.
We didn't mind taking the money early for Summerville, Gray and Rutter!!!!
Same old, same old on deadline day....
Please prove me wrong 69ers....
Tanaka now official.
Schmidt will be here by end of the day.
Sallai looking less likely.
Anyone know much about Tanaka?
49ers need to find the 15- 18 million for Gus Hamer,he would be an upgrade on Rutter and cost less than half what we sold Georgi for.
Hamer stats
PL- 10 Goals/assists in 36 games
Last championship season-19 G/A in 41 games for Coventry.
This season 3 G/A in 3 games
He can play at number 8 or 10.
Sign him and cover for left back and I think we will go up in top 2 if Solomon stays fit.
but I think it's a mistake not signing Hamer earlier,I wouldn't be surprised if an Ipswich or Southampton bid for him tomorrow if they miss out on their number 1/2 targets
Have we actually signed anybody today. If you believe all the shitmuck sites, we’ve signed Aaron’s, Schmitt, Hamar, Tanaka, every striker in the premiership and Douglas Bader.
If we get Aarons and Hamar, its job done for me.
We are STILL getting linked to Sallei from Hungary.... he tore England apart with a brace recently.
The fee will be 7/8m and he'd be the bargain of the century.
I just cannot understand why Prem clubs such as West Ham, Forest, Wolves, Everton etc etc are not in for him with such a small price tag and nothing to lose....
Just offer 10m and don't fkn lose him.... he'd be the best player ever in the Championship!!
We need at least another 3/ 2 injuries and we are down to bare bones with Crew the only midfield option.
DCM ACM LB and Striker please and maybe a CB
We are rumoured to be signing Ao Tanaka for 2.7 million.Japanese international midfielder with 27 caps/8 goals. We were linked to him last summer
My predictions and thoughts on Solomon....
1) Gnonto will be leaving as we now have 4 widemen WITHOUT the likes of Aaronson.... I know we had 4 last year.
2) Solomon will be unhappy with the lack of gametime and wonder why he didn't choose a 'smaller' club with guaranteed minutes if Gnonto stays....
3) He'll not train and get loan contract ripped up....
4) He looks like a fkn werewolf....
Welcome Solomon and good luck 👍⚽
Soloman confirmed
Gus Hamer is a QUALITY player and could be the 1st player we've had since Pablo to be creative in that position.... he's already got 2 goals and an assist this season.
He was bought by the Blunts exactly a year ago for 15m.... we have offered 13m!
He has improved as a player and the market values have increased.... is this the 69ers just trying to appease us by looking as if they're trying to spend money on quality players!?
Philip Billing is now being linked to us from Bournemouth after a good season in the Prem. Why would he come to us and not stay in the Prem? He's a big lump and awkward and clumsy but the perfect box to box player for us in the Championship....
I just hope I'm being too negative and cynical on the 69ers with the Hamer deal .... time will tell this week but YET AGAIN we've had 2 months of the transfer window open and start trying to do deals with clubs and players 3 days before it fkn closes! 🤬
Gustavo Hamer
Manor Solomon
Largie Ramazani
3 in this week
one more FB to go - Max Aarons?
Would this be a good enough window? I think so.
Apparently we bid 13m for Gus Hamer! It was obviously turned down and we'll pretend to not want him now and bid 15m on deadline day....
Just get him now for an extra few mill....
James, Gnonto, Aaronson, Largie, Hamer, Solomon and Rothwell would get us promoted with that kind of depth for resting and rotating, injuries, loss of form and suspension....
Liam Cooper confirmed now to Hull
Rumours are Solomon failed his medical. Maybe true, maybe not, but he’s not a player I’m dying to sign.
Wober is just very diffucult to like, as a player and as a person, so better get out of the way whatever the cost. Completely opposite with Cooper - his time as a player for us is over, but sad to see him go as his loyalty has always been second-to-none.
We are rumoured to be bidding for Ilias Chair from QPR,1 year left on his deal,15 g/a in 44 games last season in a poor QPR side, good signing for no. 10 if we get him.
Coops rumoured to be signing for Hull.
Wobber rumoured to be going back on loan to Germany
Manor Solomon rumoured to be having a medical for us on Saturday for a loan move from Spuds
We very nearly signed Max Aarons last season before Bournemouth got him and we're now linked again.... WTF
We've just bought Bogle for RB and Byram is more than an able back up!
We need other positions covering first and we still haven't got a LB who can DEFEND! If we're linked to Ballo Toure from Milan then we should go all out to get him as he's quality. Firpo can be back up or get his massive wages off the books to free up even more money.... he provides assists but I'd rather he be able to not let a winger keep going past him and putting in crosses against us.
Ramazani - 22 goals in 4 years, on the face of it not too much to get excited about.
I do like Hannibal Mejbri from Mancscum on loan though. He has that nasty little streak and can run with the ball and be a box to box player.... although I thought that was why we got Rothwell!?
Apparently landed in Leeds for medical.... used to play for Mancscum but I can't remember him.
We didn't know anything about Summerville or Raphinha before they got here and look how they turned out.... would rather have Jack Clarke though.
Looks like a fkn hog on his YouTube highlights but will obviously dribble past defenders.... a cheaper deal at 10m is obviously what the 69ers want so let's hope he's a bargain.
Let's hope he can be our new Filipe Da Costa or Jimmy Kebe....
Large Ramazani 10 mill from Almeira is rumoured to be close
Hannibal from Manure next on the conveyor belt.
Would anyone take Chelsea's young attacking midfielder Cesare Casadei?
Could we use a little of the Rutter money to buy Luca Netz from Gladbach?
Rabbi Matondo from Rangers being linked for 2 million,he hardly set the Scot farmers league on fire so hope this is bs
Rowe wants to go to Marseille so it looks like that's gone....
We're linked to Dutch international Stengs! Surely there's not a chance of getting him as he's Premiership quality!?
If we could get him, Jack Clarke, Lubicic and a quality LB, then I think I'd love the 69ers again....
I know it's all bullshiit LeedsNewsNow but we got to cling onto something as we haven't signed anyone for a month now....
Manuel Benson from Bumley rumours doing the rounds
Why do players, or should I say players agents, insist on peddling out "heart" felt messages about leaving the club and what Leeds United means to them, especially someone who as soon as the exit clause amount money was met, was out the door like a flash. The one put out by Rutters team borders on pathetic. You would think he has been at the club for 20 years instead of a couple of seasons!!. Just move on.
Very heavily linked to 25m rated Jack Clarke with many sources....
This is perfect for the 69ers to appease us and look as if they're spending dosh on quality.... the flip side is we'll probably offer 5m as the opening bid, raise to 10m and have a final offer of 12m.
They'll then say Blunderland wanted too much and we'll end up trying to get 3 loan deals done for very average players in the last 2hrs of the window.... hope I'm fkn wrong and will scroll back to this post on deadline day.
How pessimistic and negative is that to cheer you up !?
Alright I was told a tasty rumour about the 49er's and I am not sure what to make on it. The rumour goes:
The 49er's have spoken to a few players, clubs and agents this window and each time they have stated to each party involved that a set of rules must be played by. Roughly stated the rules are. 1) Set time period to get the deal done. 2) Player must firmly indicate their stance. 3) No agent games are tolerated. 4) media blackout during the whole process. Should any of these not be met they are walking away.
Do not shot me but that came from 2 different clubs in Germany.
Jack Clarke is wavering, he hasnt signed a new contract for Sunderland. I think we could nab him. Will probably cost £20m but that’s only half the Rutter money.
For the first time in years there's one player we haven't spoken about or been linked to and wanted him back....
James Milner started for Brighton yesterday but will only play a bit part all season....
He'd actually be a QUALITY signing for us this year though as he's Leeds through and through and bring all the supporters back onside.... he'd be our glue to direct younger players and show a proper attitude about how to wear the Leeds United shirt
He can play many positions and still fit as fk....
Apart from his wages being too high for us and him still wanting to play Prem football I think we should get him back! 🙈
So here goes one of the biggest tin hat posts to date.!! For a season long loan, how would we all feel about approaching manure for Christian Erikson. He is 32 and probably not competitive enough for the Premiership and touted to be available. For those of us old enough, despite the fans animosity towards each other, we did do a lot of player business between the clubs so this would be nothing new. Wouldn't need to run around like a headless chicken but does have the ability to do a Pablo role. (Am defo running for the bunker now!!).
Think I heard QPR signed K. Dembele(ex Celtic wonderkid)from France for 2 million,we were rumoured to be interested as well.he tore it up at Blackpool last season at number 10/on the wing and is only 21,surely he was worth a punt at that price from us,maybe not a start every game signing but our squad is down to bare bones
Has Rutter actually signed for Brighton or undergone any medical. Any body any idea what the latest is?
Max Dean scores goals for Gent in the Belgian league as well as in qualification games for one of the European competitions. Maybe one we should’ve kept? More important: we do have other young players like Luca Thomas who is 20 next month, and if talented enough should be old enough to be around the first team. Of course we need 3-4 established, proven players, but we have a tendency to not give our young talents a real chance (Archie and Harry being the exceptional exceptions!). MOT
Would fans be happy if we went out and signed Jobe Bellingham and Jack Clarke? I’d say we could get the pair for c.£30m and still have change from the Rutter deal. There’s probably other better value for money options, especially in the loan market. And we do now have the financial muscle, plus the added Red Bull money. Theres still a lot of clubs looking to shed players and with their contracts running down, so bargains to be got. So glass still half full.
Strujic to Fulham for 12.5 million is the latest rumour
69ers better get their ass in gear and sign some players quick or ER could get toxic if we have another few bad results.
We are the leading club for sales value brought in in Europe when Georgi signs for BHA,140 million and we sign 3 players for 15 million & 1 loan, our senior player outfield squad is down to 15 or 16 ffs, terrible transfer policy so far for buying players .it stinks of being in big trouble financially and trying to hide it to me.
DF said in his pc we need 4 or 5 players,I think it's closer to 9 or 10 with 2 weeks left in the transfer window
There simply must be (better be) some good signings waiting to be announced. We, the fans, have not been so angry and felt so cheated since the Ridsdale “era”. One more thing: I am sure Farke feels cheated as well. I really hope he stays.
With the amount of bullshiit data, stats, analysis and technology in football these days, shouldn't EVERY club have a back up plan IN PLACE if a player is likely to leave?
For instance, if Rutter goes, we should have 2/3 players in place on the computer to contact STRAIGHTAWAY!
We should have 2/3 players lined up for EVERY player, and updated weekly, with phone numbers for their agents. That way we can be PROACTIVE and halfway to getting a new player when our player finally signs for another club....
What usually happens is we'll wait for the long drawn out transfer of our player to go and then start thinking about who to get.... now that's a way technology could work in football.
I look forward to the scramble of getting linked to 3 very average loan players in the last couple of hours of the window....
So now that I have had a few hours to digest and think about the Rutter situation, maybe the fact that he is a likeable chap masks the real return that we get from him, added to the fact that we don't seem to be able to find the right position for him or the team, which doesn't help.
So what does he actually give the team on a marks out of 10
Goal scoring threat - 0 out of 10 - Cannot hit a barn door with a banjo, thought I'd never see the day that someone would out do Billy Painter!!
Creativity - 6 out of 10 - Has the ability to go past players and create opportunities but seems to sometimes insist on taking a few more players on and then lose the ball. Does show great strength on the ball when in full flight and control
Passing - 7 out of 10 -Definately has a killer through ball in the armoury, but again as per the previous comment, runs into a rabbit hole on occasions and the attacking momentum loses impetus.
Team work - 9 out of 10 - Puts in the hard yards to help the team out, especially with his defensive duties.
Reliability to perform on the day - 6 out of 10 - Rutter is very much an emotional player, when things are going well, he is practically unplayable, however when the tricks and flicks don't work, his body language drops and thus becomes ineffective.
My Summary
So from my own little analysis of the above, you could copy this into a few more players and get the same type of scoring. Rutter gets a more positive spin because he is a crowd pleaser and does things every now and then which put a smile on supporters faces, but the hard facts as I see it is, take away the glamour and we are left we an pretty ineffective product for the investment made, so if or when the deal finally gets done and we strip away the emotion, we are not actually losing much.
I will retreat into my bunker and await the flack!!
It does make do great tabloid copy though.
Gelhardt might lead the line yet!
Back to mid table mediocrity
Imagine Rutter does go with that offer.
Imagine that we get a 30m off for Gnonto.
Imagine we get a 20m offer for Joseph.
After Farke taking off Wober when Rondon was playing equally. I see him push for that Gladback move for 10m
Our squad could be decimated in the coming 15 days.
Bloody hope not.
I read a stat yesterday that we have gained the 2nd most most money in transfer fees over the close season IN THE WHOLE OF EUROPE!
That's before Rutter, and probably Gnonto in the last couple of days of the window, are sold... and we're not a selling club!?
Surely a corporate business like Red Bull WANT to be in the Prem!?
We've sold enough for PPI to not worry about selling now and should be BUYING!
Well all that's left now is for Everton to come back with a bid @ £30m and Little Willy will be off, although Everton's ownership is up in the air so may not be that straight forward, even so, he must be looking around and saying, Jimmy, Archie, Georginio going, what's the point staying around, to be honest I cannot blame him.
My predictions were that we would win the league with a 5-10 point gap, at the rate we are going we will be lucky to avoid relegation!
40m for Rutter is fantastic imo, if you're a business man with shares in Leeds United that is.
If you're a fan of that club it's rubbish.
Gray
Summerville
Rutter
The price of poor management at the end of last season.
In short - I'd like to change my season prediction. We ain't going up.
Rumours that Brighton triggered Georgi's 40 million release clause
All the talk is of signing TWO CBs in Bashir Humphreys and Bruno Ogbus which isn't the obvious target position when we already have Rodan, Struijk, Ampadu, Wober and Debayo. I could see Ogbus as a u21 but Humphreys doesn't make any sense.
Looks like Raki Saki going to the Blunts and don't blame him as he's guaranteed game time and start.... it pains me to say it but the Blunts look good on paper this season and will be our main rivals at the top.
We've got to go all out for Rowe now as he hasn't signed for Marseille and spoke really well about us last season....
Jonathan Rowe deal gathering momentum......
Well it seems like Little Willy is going nowhere, at least not until January. Info being posted that the board turned down £23mill from Everton. I guess we will soon see if he decides to throw his toys out of the pram again or accepts the situation.
If yesterday's rumours are to be believed, we are targeting
Hugo Bueno
Bobby Clark
Jonathan Rowe
And every Norwich player.
Jon Rowe from Norwich for 7m being touted
Just hope 49ers are NOT waiting for the last day of the window to sign players just so they get Sky coverage.
Hugo Bueno (LB) 21 years old at Wolves. Loan only. Another youngster with a queue we'll have to jump though
Sontje Hansen one to watch - another Dutch winger raid....
Getting linked with Bobby Clarke from Liverpoo for 12 million on BBC gossip page
We've apparently put in a 5m bid for Sara who's valued at 20m!
If we can get him for circa 10m it'd be a great bit of business after Summerville....
I know both sides start miles apart in valuation but surely this will just piiss Norwich off.... I suppose at least the player knows we're interested and could down tools.
I've seen better haggling in a Moroccan market for a fez....
We've been linked to the Palace winger Jesurun Rak Sakyi who has refused to go on Palace pre season tour.... someone is obviously after him.
He's made a few appearances in the Prem last season and scored 15 in 49 apps on loan in L1 the season before last....
I'd have tried to get Maxwell Cornet as part of the Summerville deal and played hard ball to say we wouldn't sell Summerville unless we got Cornet on the cheap.... I think he's quality, at least in the 2nd tier.
He can score and assist and can play as a winger or wing back or has even filled in at LB.
We obviously didn't fancy him....
