I'm with you on the consistency and team spirit all the way, but I also want us to be an established Premiership team. Maybe you are right, if we get 4/5 experienced premiership style players in key positions it could work, of course the other conundrum is whether Farke himself can cut it in the Premiership!.

Probably the biggest headache for DF and the Board, is not so much who they want to bring into the club, but what to do with the majority of the existing players. In my opinion, we only have 4 "Premiership" players in the squad, James, Rodon, Ampudu & Solomon (if he signed up). The rest are good Championship players but do not have the necessary skills to play in the top league, however they have got the team, hopefully, to the Premiership. Do they deserve a crack at playing in the Premiership?, almost certainly. Could the sentiment land us in a heap of trouble? possibly, so what to do?. You could give them until the transfer window in January and then see where we are and decide the next course of action, however if we are deep in the sh*t by then, no one will want to join and another doomsday scenario beckons. Alternatively, you could put the majority of the squad up for sale and dig deep into the pockets and buy several Premiership class players, that will ensure we stay in the top league for the "holy" second season, therefore establishing ourselves as a true Premiership team. This of course flies in the face of the PSR rules, but to be honest, I think we should just ignore that and press on regardless. The 49er's Enterprise I'm pretty sure, are packed with enough lawyers that would tie the FA up for years to come.

Good luck Mouse Man. Judging by Farke's press conference, James will be doubtful for this one, protecting a slight hamstring issue. Presumably Gnonto will take his preferred position on the wing as a replacement. I think Piroe will still start up front with Bambi coming on later. Aaronson will also start as the No 10. The issue will be when Solomon and Gnonto are to be replaced. Ramazani has clearly p*ssed off Farke and he is our only genuine wide replacement, I guess Schmidt could help there a bit. With all this in mind, I think we need to hit them hard for 60 mins and get 3 goals to the good, we can then bring on a more defensive unit and shore up the victory, but what do I know!!!!

That was a pretty tough 2nd half watch, not helped by disgraceful officiating. Football must be the only employment industry where p*ss poor managers get fired, generally ending up with a mega million payoff and where officials, who make clear and obvious errors, that could have huge financial ramifications for any club, end up with a punishment so puny, it's hardly worth the effort, oh and the Football League then write to the aggrieved club and say sorry! I truly hate VAR, but given that the Championship is the road to Premiership riches, it has to be bought in. Anyway, we did win despite them. 3 points against Preston on Saturday and the up and coming game between Blunts and Bumley around Easter takes on even more intrigue!

Gnonto is not a number 10, which was proven against Luton on Saturday, he is lost in the roll, better him and Ramazani has a double change. Play Firpo in the 10 role and see what happens. Wober can cover left back. Ampudu back with Roden in defence and Gruev and Tanaka in midfield.

Totally inept performance, devoid of any ideas going forward. All those Leeds fans who were crying for Gnonto to take the number 10 shirt, well there was your answer today, completely ineffective and a waste of a shirt. I'm not blaming Gnonto, it's not his natural position. With the amount of defenders on the bench, surely it would have made more sense playing Firpo at 10, which is where he plays for the Dominican Republic and then bring on Gnonto/Ramazani for Soloman/James. Current form suggests that we are destined again next season for the Championship, whether that will be under Farke's stewardship remains to be seen!

Possibly the last we see of Meslier, unless Darlow has a mare of a game. I don't think he deserves all the flack being thrown at him, yes he has dropped points for us, equally though he has saved us on many occasions. It's not Meslier's fault that we are where we are, if we are going to point fingers, then we should be looking at the guilt edge chances in front of goal that our "elite" striking force have managed to balls up, we should be clear at the top be at least 6-8 points, arguably more. I hope the young lad's confidence is not too shattered and comes back stronger.

I agree with you TC, I've said on a previous post a while ago that Harrison could be the next Gary Kelly, winger turned defender. He has great speed and a good work rate, or at least he did with us. The ER faithful were prepared to give Aaronson the benefit of the doubt, so why not Harrison?

I doubt whether any other championship side has the same amount of players travelling halfway around the world, playing what to me are fking pointless matches and then travelling back again and expected to put in another shift at the weekend. I didn't see the match yesterday and only caught up with the lowlights on LUTV this morning, but to me, a mentally switched on Tanaka, would never have let the player get around him that ultimately resulted in the equaliser, however it is what it is. Blunts still have to play Bumley so something has to give, unless they somehow contrive to take a point each! Fat Frank also still has to play Bumley, but given that he has no love for our club at all, i don't expect any favours there. My only hope is that when we travel to Plymouth for the last game of the season, is that they need points to survive as it will bring them out, if they are already doomed, it will be a far more difficult game
